we are working with the park and rec dept. to find funding to begin the design phase of waller st. we are also trying to install temp ramps to bring the public out to this space. We are also trying to find an angel for this park.... any suggestions would be great.

Our heros, Rec and Park Director Phil Ginsberg, Dana Ketchum and 
Dennis Kern have been working with us to get a storage container on-
site  to hold all of our donated ramps so we can bring them out on 
weekends and wednesday nights at Waller. This is very big news for us 
because it gives us a place to skate in Golden Gate Park for the 
summer and also will show the neighborhood the good side of 
skateboarding. What does all this mean now? Hopefully by the end of 
March we have our storage container in place for weekend skating 
though the summer. We also need to be more insistent that the Rec and 
Park dept. keep it's promise to follow through with the design for 
the park. Many loyal SFSA members spent over six months holding Nicks 
hand through the process of picking a designer, let's hope he hasn't 
wasted all of our good effort..... more to come.
